Sorry for not getting back to you on the variant cover issue.

The problem is, the books were graded before the Variant Field was added to the database.  As far as the system is concerned, they are all the same book.  We cannot add the variants now without creating a new Comic ID.  Please DM me a list of the cover variants you would like added, and I will create descriptive titles.

  2. Hi,

One more for the Jim Lee Cover Set

    Aspen Universe: Revelations #4  CGC# 1505370001

And if you're still waiting for a response from the Graders re: my post from May 6 would you at least be able to add the following 2 books?

    - Scooby Apocalypse #1 (Convention Edition) #2669887007

    - The Suit #1 #2669887005

    Thanks again!

  3. Hello @56echo

I have consulted with my colleague about these books, I am still waiting to hear back.  I will probably just add slots with descriptive titles.  I'm not sure if this issue is a data entry error or not.  When I hear back from the graders, I will let you know.  Thanks.

    Hi Brian,

Could you please add the following titles to the Jim Lee Cover Set:

    - Infinite Crisis # 3 (2nd Printing also sketch edition) #3954957021

    - Joker 80th Anniversary #nn #2574153006

    - Prototype #1 (Black & White Edition) #2669887003**

**There are two Jim Lee variants of this book: one color and the black & white noted above. I don't think CGC has realized there are these two variants as they are not identified separately in the census. The black & white version is a bit of a mystery while the color version, I believe, was a 1:10 variant

    - Scooby Apocalypse #1 (Convention Edition) #2669887007

    - The Suit #1 #2669887005

Could you also expand several issues that are already in the set that have multiple covers? I know that CGC doesn't differentiate these issues but they are separate covers that collectors seek out. These issues are:

    - All-Star Batman and Robin #1. There is a Batman Cover (# 0631630003) and a Robin Cover (#0133713008). I'd suggest differentiating these as either Batman Cover and Robin Cover

    - Batman #619 has 4 variants: There is the "normal cover" (#3884519010); 2nd printing (#1262079024) and 2 variant Gatefold covers which only exists as one entry. There is a variant Heroes gatefold (#1262079022) and a villains gatefold (#1613563007). I'd suggest differentiating these as either Heroes Gatefold variant and Villians Gatefold variant

    - Superman #215 has an A & B variant. (I'm not sure which is which) One has a close-up of Superman (#0993623016) and other has him fighting Zod (#2105570025). I'd suggest differentiating these as Superman and Zod covers

    - and last but not least X-Men #1. I know there was some conversation a few posts back about separating the 4 classic covers in the X-Men (1991) 1-275 Set. Can you have a similar scheme put into the Jim Lee Cover Set? I know CGC didn't recognize them separately but I mean these 4 covers are iconic and it's a shame that they aren't notated separately in this set as they should be....

I've attached a couple photos of the above books for your reference and thanks for all your hard work keeping us happy!

  4. Hi,

Could you take a look at the scores in the Jim Lee Cover Set? There are several issues that I think are scored less than they should be

    - Batman #608 City of Burbank edition is the rarest of all variants for the Batman Hush run. It is not for retail sale and only available as a promotional giveaway through the City of Burbank instagram page. So far only 20 copies have been given away and 5 of those have been graded. The issues that have come for sale have fetched a couple K...

    - Wonder Woman # 1 (2016) convention/2nd printing - this is the gold foil cover that was printed in error for NYCC. Only a limited amount were printed with the error. There is even a more a rarer sub-variant of the book which has a gold cover and silver back.

    - There were several 1:1000 variants re-mastered variants that Marvel released of Jim's work. These are all highly sought in high grades:

Captain America  #700 remastered Sketch variant

    X-Men: Blue #1

    X-Men: Gold #1

    Astonishing X-Men #1

    Thanks!

    Adjusted Batman 608.

The registry does not differentiate between subvariants, unfortunately.  The original variants for the other requests are scored correctly.

  6. I submitted my books to Comic Conline for the Michelinie & Bagley signings. They included pretty pristine copies of ASM #300 & ASM #361. (Not 9.8s but definitely contenders for 9.6) They confirmed they received the books and had set it aside for the facilitator, Agents of Slab. I never heard or received an invoice and when I contacted AoS they send they never received it. Having dealt with them before I tend to believe AoS as they do call to confirm they received your books. I haven’t gotten much of a response from Comiconline.

Has anyone else had issues with Comiconline or with the Bagley/Michelinie signings? Just trying to figure out what to do...
