  1. Grades can go up too with signings. I did have an ASM300 8.0 that I had signed/pressed and it came back a 9.0.
  2. Weird. It showed that one before, but I’m not seeing it now until I click on your link. Odd.
  3. Thanks. By context I was wondering if that thread comment had been directed to my 9.8 specifically.
  4. Really appreciate this. I agree. Personally I think having this out there reflects poorly, but what do I know
  5. Thanks. Yeah I’ve looked everywhere but didn’t see this specific question. Appreciate it.
  6. I know with raw they make you send in the books in bags already. But if the books are slabbed do you need to send in empty window bags or is that included in the $5 de-encapsulation charge? Thanks!
  7. Appreciate it! First emails were to a specific name/person at CGC while I was on the phone with said rep so I have their contact info. Second one I did receive the rating email so I have that name as well. let’s hope third time is a charm.
  8. No worries at all. Wasn’t sure if there was an extension or name but I understand. I appreciate it very much. I have your email now and will see what a 3rd set of eyes and ears do with this tomorrow and can follow up.
  9. Hey Mike, It might’ve been the other thread… but I’ve noted the first 2 emails 10:11-17am my time, were direct to a rep while the rep reviewed the issue over the phone. I do have those direct emails I was sending. The 3 emails today were from support as I emailed them separately to ask them to have a look. They directed me to reholder and to send in for review and no acknowledgement of the comic damage. I will call to speak with someone again tomorrow If you could direct me to anyone in particular that would be amazing.
  10. I’ve said I’m not sure I took pictures of the back from my submission 13 months ago and many users have pointed out that is a good practice to do, which I will definitely do going forward. Still learning here. I haven’t found them yet I do have pictures of the front from the original purchase which I tracked down.
  11. At this point I am not sure the best recourse. They haven’t acknowledged the damage via pictures and if I send it in there is no promise of comp.
  12. Yep 2 reps now. First claimed it could have been a 10 without the issue in the picture. The exact pictures I’ve shared. Second rep messaged today that it’s tough to see from the pictures but I could have it reviewed if I ship it back. basically I feel like I am wasting their time.
  13. Yeah the IIM9 is mine. Posted in another thread. I believe virtually verbatim I was told “That could have been a 10 without the issue” and said the issue was “minimal.”
  14. I do have the name, because the rep asked that I email them directly. don’t want to call out any rep by name though. And as mentioned above… before seeing the pictures the rep offered to return the comic. After I emailed the pictures the rep said “this could have been a 10 without the issue”… they justified the grading. Also kept repeating that from the same pictures posted here that the issue was minimal. after seeing the pictures the offer to return the comic was more or less withdrawn. it was after a different rep today who also saw the pictures (also have that name) that suggested I send it in for “review.” No apologies. Just send it in. Also said from the pictures tough to tell. no admittance of any issue anywhere.
  15. So.. 3 emails today update. 1st - well we can reholder that for you. (not sure that addresses the issue?) 2nd - we can review it for you if you would like, free of charge. Also, we can't tell anything definitive from the pictures... (???) 3rd - can't discuss compensation until we have the book. My thoughts, as the novice here. Once the book leaves my hands at this point, I am at their mercy. There is nothing preventing receiving an 8.5 and no compensation for the difference. They have offered zero reassurance or gratitude in 5 emails and 1 phone call that they would make this right, other than re-grade it at my request, and MAYBE offer something after they have complete control. Why would I send it back then? All I have received is "that's minimal damage" then "we can reholder that" then "we can't see anything from the pictures".... from multiple reps. Ugggh.
  16. Pretty much. When I described it (before pictures) it seemed to be taken seriously. After 2 emails of pictures, "that's it?" 100% won't auction it, and will see if anything happens with CGC. To this point it has been dismissed. If it goes nowhere, will likely sell while also disclosing that I have correspondence with CGC.
  17. I thought I was doing a solid, but not gonna lie, was also trying to protect myself should I ever sell it. I have 2 emails to the same rep showing the case and the flaws, while I was on the phone directly with said rep. So it's been reported, and not a case swap as some have explained ppl might think it is.
  18. Appreciate that. Awesome advice. Definitely less than 100 books thus far for me. I know I have pictures of the cover before and might have of the back. I’ll have to look back. It’s been a while.
