Seems the Mound City JIM #90 which sold for $4K+ originally, was pressed into a 9.2 + sold in the Comic Connect auction for $3500. doh!:tonofbricks:

Everyone still think pressed books sell for as much as unpressed counterparts? hm

It's not the pressing that knocked the book down in value. The market is turning on us...

Exactly. The MC buyer over paid at $4K+ when the book was worth about $2500.

Using his initial price point, he figured a 9.2 was worth $6-7K. Unfortunately for him, the market thought differently.

I think you're saying...

"He fed the monkey and watched it chit !"

Ummm, ..... :screwy:

Thankyouverymuch! :headbang:

I've been looking for this book in 9.0 for over 2 years...it is a very difficult book to find in 9.0+...saw lots of 8.0s and 8.5s...just tough to come by and I was finally able to pick up a perfectly registered white pager! Patience is a virtue rewarded.

And one of my absolute favorite JIM/THOR covers...just love the colors on this one! :whee:

Ive always wondered what happened to the lower half of Loki on this cover! very odd drawing. And Thor is doing the Matrix bullet dodge pose thirty years before the Waschowsky Bros ever thought about it!

It is an odd drawing of Loki...it's as if he's popping through a hole in the sky... (shrug)
