I know this is early, but is anyone going to Wizard World Texas?

I have no intentions of ever going to that con. I heard it sucks...

Tell us how you really feel Danny.

I bought some pretty nice books the last time I went. Harley was there, Richard Evans, Chris Foss, lots of other big time dealers.

Scott,

No offense to anyone going there or Texans, this is what I heard from various comic collectors.

I wouldn't say it sucks ('cus I've been to some really bad cons) but it's not top-tier. Think of all of the bad thing about and WW show (porn stars, extremely loud music, stupid crowds), combine that with the same-ole-same-ole guests and a low high-end dealer turnout and you have WW-Tx.

I talked the wife into going (to Arlington, not to the convention) so Ill be there. Its just a 4 hour drive anyway.

Anyone know a good hotel really close to the convention center? Gonna book it early I think.

It must have an indoor pool.

I hear Richard Evans is going and I hear he's going all out for show specials this year.

Devil Dinosaur #1's!

Nova #1's

Howard The Duck #1's!

If he doesn't have any Rom-Space Knight issues I will pass his booth on by. Better have some Machine Man too.

The convention center is right next to both The Rangers Ballpark and Six Flags so there are plenty of hotels on I-30 and HWY 360.

We all should try to have a forum dinner on Friday or Saturday night. I have been to WWTX every year and have a good time regardless of who's attending. I think the fact that it's the last WW con of the year hurts the attendance of big name Celebs.

I think a forum dinner would be great. I'm in if we have one.
