1971: First comic Batman 234 (O'Neil/Adams) cloud9.gif

I forget... did we buy from the same place in Gainesville..."13th Pharmacy?

Nah...I lived near Littlewood, so I'd buy my off-the-rack books at the 7-11's around the Royal Park Plaza/34th street area.

Cool!

- Banner & I live in the same town today.

- Banner & bronzebruce13 used to live in the same town.

- Smokinghawk & I grew up in the same town.

- hkp & I went to the same grad school

...all without ever meeting, from what I can tell. We ought to figure out how to do a "Six Degrees of Separation" for the forums here!

PS-- Oh, and I've never read a Hulk 181! 27_laughing.gif

Here's a better one.

Highlite23 and I were in the same high school graduating class. We figured that out on the boards. SMALL world!

Me and Bonds25 would have been in the same high school graduating class in Colorado (turns out he went to high school with a bunch of my former jr. high classmates) had my family not moved back to San Diego! Curiously enough, Matt now lives in San Diego. Perhaps I should file a restraining order? 893scratchchin-thumb.gifconfused-smiley-013.gif27_laughing.gif

.

My dad bought Fantastic four, Spider-Man and Red Sonja for me when I was a very little boy. That must have been late 1978 - early 1979 that I read my first comic

Thats what my dad did for me when I was a kid, but they were goldenage books. I kept the tradition going by buying comics for my kids. It wasn't unusual for me to have two or three sets of a comic series. One set for me and the rest to my kids.

I started reading comics about 81 or 82 when I was 7 years old,I still have the first comic that my mother bought for me in a magazine store, a beat up Avengers issue.

I started collecting around 1984, I started out with British stuff 2000AD and Judge Dredd comics but around 1985 a friend turned me onto Savage Sword Of Conan and Ghost Rider after that there's meen no looking back.

I've slowed down or stopped collecting at various times over the past 20 years, after high school I sold a bunch of stuff to buy a muscle car that I've been kicking myself over since.... but I've always come back to the hobby.
