Pedigree Marking?

After reading about the Reilly mark and not knowing a good source for pedigree marks, I thought I'd ask the following: This

is on the back of one of my books from 1953. Any one know of a pedigree with this type of stamp? Probably not as it looks to be a rather generic number stamp but you never know.
