And the grade is...

Congrats to gernblaston, Sal & rjpb for correct guesses! And the rest of you were certainly in the ballpark.

 

It's definitely a strict grade, and I think it could have easily gone 4.0. I'd have to guess that the chipping in the LLC was weighed heavily to tug it below VG. The colors and PQ are terrific, and there's no doubt in my mind that even quality dealers would sell it as a raw VG or VG+.
