Hi guys, I liked that book because it's not so much about art art art but the historical context in which the art evolved, the reasons behind some of the change in subject content of the art and how artists' personal lives were affected by their art and vice versa. I listened to the book on CD Audio on my commute and very much enjoyed it. Maissonier's figure turns to be tragi-comic in all of this.
