Here's some Maneely I have around - First up is my favorite Maneely cover and the other is a nice example of his later Western work -

A mystery Tales cover I never saw before & it's a beauty! The Wyatt is nice too, he was getting more refined as the 50's went on.

I have to admit, Infantino & heck are next on my list.

'bones, 'bones, why hast thou forsaken me?

Infantino getting early votes in a SILVER AGE poll?

The guy who drew these?

I'm certainly not superhero-centric, but this stuff defines (some of) the Silver Age!

You sure you're not thinking of his mediocre 70s work?

Ogden Whitney is an INCREDIBLE artist, I am shocked he got so many votes already! I guess it pays to draw super-heroes...

Absolutely correct, Shiver. Whitney is great! I voted Grandenetti and Andru. Both styles just didn't fit my taste.

Votes for Infantino and Anderson in the first round???

I went with Sekowsky, because he made the early JLA's so dull when they could have been so much more, and Tuska, because he just wasn't very good.

Herbie alone should keep him on for a few rounds -- and he did lots more in many genres!

Infantino's Silver Age work was wonderful. His draftsmanship and design drew on classic artist' work. To me he'll be a favorite. And Romita Sr.? that blew me away. It must be a joke.

The rules for this one will be simple so there won't be any ambiguity. The point of this Survivor Series is to crown a favorite SA Artist. This isn't about who's the "best" or "greatest", but who is your favorite from amongst the list. ....

What happened to Ramona Fradon and Russ Manning? Not enough popular support?

Maybe they would have only lasted a couple of rounds anyway.

More samples, pro and con!

Jack
