One of the reasons why I enjoy comics from the 1930s-1950s so much is that they offer a window of opportunity into another time and, oftentimes, what was completely a different culture from what we experience today.

 

I enjoy perusing the advertisements of the day sometimes as much, if not more, than the comic book itself! I recently purchased an OO collection with the bulk of the books from 1948-1960. As I go through them I am scanning in the interesting ads.

 

Here is the initial batch of scans from some early 1950s Fawcetts.
