Got a invite to SDCC Comic Con for presale badges. Was wondering a couple things. This is WD related. Does anyone have any predictions as to who might be there from WD this year? And has anyone ever gone to a big con like this by themselves?

My friends are in no position to go, and I know my wife will be wicked bored. She can go visit her friends in Cali while I go by myself.

NYCC > SDCC as far as comics go

I went last year, the entire cast was present. You can only speculate at this point, but I am willing to bet Kirkman and several cast members will be there. They are doing The Walking Dead Escape again this year, so WD will be another big presence this year I would imagine.

As long as there's no variant for the escape this year I won't be participating. That course kicked my and I would rather spend the $100 on something else WD related.

I feel the same way! I was NOT prepared for that! Of course zero sleep and excessive alcohol consumption didn't help either. I didn't anticipate them giving the variant at the end of the course either, when I was all sweaty and out of breath. Walked the book 4 blocks back to the hotel that night, got Charlie's sig the next day and came back a 9.8! Shock and awe.

 

I'm on the fence about going this year, as you said unless there is a must have variant I might just pass or buy it on eBay and skip the workout.
