lol she's getting a bit long in the tooth....

One thing I didn't get pics of was the Suicide Girls booth at the con. They had fanboys lined up 24-7 through the show. Walked by them, at one point and the super tall, ultra pierced gal gave me a shout out so I talked to them a few minutes, asked how the show went and they were like "oh, we were really busy" and acted surprised. I said "Look around, is there any way you would NOT be busy with demographics like this?" (shrug)

I don't know if they were selling stuff or just promoting their web site and clothing and stuff, but maybe this is the type of thing we'll see more of in the future instead of the porno queen booths: The corporate-managed and marketed goth/punk pinup girls promoting a MySpace for the tattooed and pierced set, but using young goth/punk/tattooed/pierced models as bait. Seems like a can't-miss marketing idea for the comic-book fanboy crowd. Wish I'd thought of that lol

Speaking of the porno girls booths, I didn't get to walk through the show as much as I'd have liked, but it seemed to me there was a definite lack of that. Did I just not see them, or were they absent, or moved into a back corners somewhere?

The show this year seemed much more family-friendly and it was chock full of people with their kids. Lots of interest in Iron Man and Hulk, so the Marvel Movie Machine seems to be hitting the public where it gets their attention.
