Sitll no power at my house in Beaumont as of today.

They have restored just under 50% of the city now.

Cerfew is still enforced from 8 PM to 6 AM.

The boil water notice may end tomorrow.

And Beaumont was lucky compared to the other cities around it.

Crystal Beach and the entire Boliver area are 90% gone off the map.

Hundreds have lost their lives there and the news will not let the reports out yet.

Bridge City is almost a complete loss with most houses in 6 to 8 ft. of water.

Orange is a little better with some houses having 4 ft. of water.

When you drive through the area on IH 10 you can smell the rotting fish in the air.

I am staying at a hotel in Lake Charles LA and drive back and forth every day.

Good luck to everybody out there in Houston and Galveston as well.

Me, I never noticed. Snooozzeeee. Woke by the cat that was hungry.

Candles and battery tv again for a while. Called the wife, and she's not

going to give anymore of my beer to the repairmen unless they get it

right this time

Thank goodness we got the web fixed up here at the new shop.

One of the most frustrating things after Katrina was the media. Somethings weren't true by a longshot, and some truths were buried. I am not shocked that that is still the case now. Sorry it's so rough for you.

hey fellas we spent eight days without light and boy did that suck. Its amazing how much we take for granted the simple things like flicking on the light or connecting to people from all over the world. with no power its not hard to feel cutoff from everything. In the apt. complex i live in we lost alot of big trees, one nearly got my car missed it by a foot. We got a couple boxes of M.R.E's and its nice to have some warm food. I believe te respopnse to this storm was pretty good. Gas was plentiful. You were able to go out and get ice and food and water the next day at e pod locations. But yeah there is alot of destruction in galveston. and there is a tiger loose down there so look out.
