PGM: Batman 227

[Gone Phishin']

Not one of the better examples of my favorite cover, but fit my price range. I recently bought this off a board member as a 7.0 F/VF. How would you grade it? All flaws are evident in scans. Biggest detractor would have to be the FC spine, and the corners. Insides are clean. How would you grade this? Please leave any feedback.

In my opinion, this book is a 6.0-6.5 tops. Maybe a 7.0 if BC is perfect, but it is not..

I would go with a solid 6.0.

I would never call this book a 7.0!! It is a nice 6.0 IMHO... So far no one has called this a 7.0 I would be surprised if anyone would call it a 7.0 to be honest with you.. If there is a return available, I would use it. Or see about a partial refund and keep the book.

I was planning on talking to the seller, but going to wait for a few more responses. It was bought during the VCC with no back cover scan. I saw the scan of the FC, but figured the back would be nice..

It doesn't matter what we think as we are not holding the book in hand. Its fun to guess a grade but sometimes people are way off. If you think its overgraded, tell him so and see if you can return it.

damnit.. finally when I thought I found a good looking affordable copy.. funny how I have seen a 227 listed at Fine for 50, but saw a legit VF listed for 325..

 

I am sure there will be a happy ending to this story though. Seller is very nice, and I am sure we will work something out..

Yep, dist. spray. Not a bad looking copy overall. If you wanted an 8.0 then buy an 8.0

It's as close to a 7.0 as it is to a 6.0

At this point, I think I am going to hold out for a 7.5-8.0. When did you sell your copy Divad?

why don't you buy graded?

there is a lame PGX copy 8.0 (probably cgc 5.0) and a cgc 7.0 on ebay.
