I think it's just a smaller version. I do think that smaller = easier. But then again, maybe it's just because the answer is sitting there right next to it?

No, it's totally different.

 

Better image quality, smaller "pixels", etc - you can read "Mystery" directly from the image on the right.

The "pixels" are Neal Adams covers (I recognize a few Detective Comics, GL/GA, a HoM). The overall picture seems to be the HoM 174 cover.
