I agree. It's a stunning book, but no way is that a 9.2. It's an 8.5 max, and that's being generous.

 

I think it's a 8.0...8.5 on a "I just got laid" day.

By way of comparison, here's a book that graded CGC 8.5. I thought it was undergraded by two grade levels (i.e., 9.2).

I'm with you. 8.5 is a stretch with that lower corner creasing, and they break color too. I dont know if its even a 8.0 with all the creasing.

I agree that 8.5 is a stretch. The reason I might not complain about an 8.5 on that book is because the overall state of preservation (inks, paper quality) are superior to any other copy that any of us have ever seen, and that has to factor in favorably compared to a copy with slightly better structure but duller inks and off-white pages. I wouldn't argue with 8.0 either, but I think 7.5 is too harsh. But 9.2 is even more out of the question. There's just no way.
