It was a movie thing back in the 80's where they played movies. It's like a DVD today but it's like a record then.

I actually remember when those came out, everyone was saying that they were going to revolutionize the entertainment industry. My friend's mom bought a whole stereo surround entertainment system that had the giant disc player included, still while the thing was sizzling hot, she paid some crazy amount like 2600 or something, don't remember exactly how much but, it was a pretty penny. Anyways, they still have it, they bought like two discs for it, and now it's in the back of her house outside, collecting dust, aside from occasionnal urine sample that the dogs mark their territory with on it's base. EPIC FAILURE!!
