Not just Spiderman But when he drew X-Factor WOW!!!!

As far as Jim Lee goes, he does a good Batman/Superman..but no one has ever drawn a better Wolverine.

I guess I could also mention Joe Kubert, but I'm told that's a near impossibility, so I have let that dream go.

And, there's always Infantino, but I"m told he doesn't do them either. But, if there was a "grail" book in this category, those would be it. ;)

My ONE major goal is:

to get a sketch done by every living artist that worked on Amazing spider-man

Me too.

My goal is collect sketches from good artists that want to do a good job and complete my commission request. I never want the artist to feel uncomfortable or burdened by me asking for a drawing. I want the artist to see me as a person who is a fan who understands that artwork is special and something that does not come for free. What type of sketch I want depends on the day, the mood, how the artist is feeling. The ultimate goal is to get the best piece of work possible.

Sometimes if you ask the artist who they have been drawing well lately and work with them you can end up with a better sketch than you could have dreamt up yourself.

Great Thread Topic Sean!

My last goal is to help promote up and coming artists become relevant simply by showing their pure talent.

Ok, so after looking through a CAF Galleries, I've compiled a list. I figured that it'd be really easy to go to local shows and get Green Goblins done on the cheap all day long. I figured a list would define my goal even more. Now I'm looking for input. The list is in no particular order and is not set in stone and never will be as I may find some local artists who rock a GG sketch. Anyway, names in red are people that have already done a sketch for me and I either have it or it's being graded right now. I'm sure there are some obvious ones I'm missing, so let me know.

1) Michael Golden

2) Tony Moore

3) Chris Samnee

4) Ron Wilson

5) Andrew Mangum

6) Brian Denham

7) Joe Sinnott

8) George Tuska

9) Todd Nauck

10) Mike Deodato Jr.

11) Frank Brunner

12) Doug Mahnke

13) Dave Finch

14) Freddie Williams II

15) David Hitchcock

16) Chris Giarrusso

17) Humberto Ramos

18) Billy Tan

19) Phil Hester

20) Herb Trimpe

21) Mark Kidwell

22) Rich Buckler

23) Ron Frenz

24) Stuart Sayger

25) Marko Djurdjevic

26) Sal Buscema

27) Tone Rodriguez

28) Bill Dinh

29) Bob McLeod

30) Ethan Van Sciver

31) Alex Saviuk

32) John Cassaday

33) Kaare Andrews

34) Agnes Garbowska

35) John Romita Sr

36) George Perez

37) Steve Rude

38) Robert Atkins (had to bail on the last sketch opportunity! )

39) Steve Epting

40) Leinil Francis Yu

41) Marc Silvestri

42) Olivier Coipel

43) John Romita Jr

44) Mitch Breitweiser

45) Rags Morales

46) Ron Garney

47) Ivan Reis

48) Mike Lilly

And just so I cover my bases, there are a few that I purposely left off the list because it seems like it would be a HUGE undertaking to actually pull off. Ditko, McFarlane, and Adams come to mind.

I've looked at your gallery plenty in the past, but last night I just went to CAF and typed "Green Goblin" into the search bar. The only one of yours that came up was Ramos. hm If it ever needs a place to stay...

But it was looking at your Epting and Lilly that made me add them to the list for sure!

ooooooooh you better not think about copying sketches Adam

There didn't seem to be a whole lot to copy, to be honest. I'm not the trailblazer in Goblin sketches, but it there's not a lot out there so far either. I've got a few ideas but I haven't quite paired off the ideas with artists yet. We'll see!

Anyway, Sean and Danny, I was hoping you two could chime in with your sketch experience and add a few ideas to the list. Eric Powell? Scott Hanna? Bagley? Mignola? I'm not looking to make this too easy, but I don't want to make it impossible either.

I think you have a pretty solid list there, pretty much my wants are determined show by show, and who is attending and if I have a fallen son from them or not :)
