Yes indeedy, PhotoJournals are important.

 

I kept every Overstreet from #4, eventually added #3 and #2, just for research materials, I was always thumbing through to look at pictures or try to ID a coverless book.

 

Between the Gerbers and the Grand Comic Database most of those painstaking searches are a piece of cake!

 

Hooray for Gerber Guides! Hooray for GCD!

1. Action Comics #1 is published.

2. Bob overstreet starts the OPG circa 1970

3. Frederic Werthram writes SOTI.

4. Comic Code Authority is created

5. Marvel ushers in the Marvel Age of comics with Fantastic Four #1

6. Chuck Rozanski discovers and sells the Edgar CHurch collection

7. CGC opens for business

8. The Gerber Photo Guide to comics is published

9. World War 2 paper drives wipe out a huge amount of GA comic books.

10. 2010 - First comic sells for 1 million dollars.

 

Again, this list should really go to about #25. Far too many significant events for just 10.
