Action #1 = All Story 1912-10 (1st Tarzan)

Detective #27 = Shadow 1931-04 (1st Shadow)

Batman #1 = Amazing Stories Vol.3, #5 (1st Buck Rogers) [Nice one, Scrooge :D )

Nice grab.

Just looking at these great pulp covers you can see where the torch was being passed to comics to take readers to the future by their influence on comic covers during that age.

I like how covers from pulps were recreated into comic covers of later decades like this one which preceded Planet comics #48

Planet Stories Vol.2, #1 = $50

This is a really nice glossy copy with wonderfully rich colors that I hope show in the scan.

There are a couple of 1/2" tears on the bottom of the spine and a tiny piece of paper loss on the top of the spine.

Overall a superb copy to own.

Nice grab - looks strangely familiar:

Hi,

Just another opinion from someone who buys and deals in high end pulps. I also contaced 4 other heavy hitters in the pulps, and their list is as follows:

The most valuable would be: (we are talkng high grade)

1) All Story 1912 - 1st Tarzan

2) The Shadow #1

3) Weird Tales #1 (worth multiples of the Weird Tales 1st Conan)

4) Doc Savage #1

5) The Spider #1 (vf/nm only)

6) New Story 1913 (2nd Tarzan)

7) Any of the Black Mask (Maltese Falcon issues in nice Shape) / Shadow #2 / Weird tales #2

8) Weird Tales - 1st Conan / Spicy Mystery #1 and Batman issue

***There are 100 more valuable pulps than the first Buck Rogers, as it is common, even in high grade....but it is a great book!
