Old label books with SCS, Signature Series on any high grade book that was printed before the early 70s, tiny corner creases and lastly rusted staples (i didnt even know this was allowable on books in the 9.4 range till I received a book that had this defect)

It is? Rusty staples are a big no no for me.

and lastly rusted staples (i didnt even know this was allowable on books in the 9.4 range till I received a book that had this defect)

I think it probably rusted after it was slabbed

yes this can happen

there is a CGC 9.6 or 9.8 Hulk 180 or 182 that someone posted, and it rusted after being slabbed

I think it might have been due to being stored inside a safe (a big no-no apparently)

can anyone post that rusty Hulk again?

DRESSER DRAWER..for shame keeping your comic books in a drawer where are your acid free slider boxes!! I guess those wouldn't matter for slabs

I only have four slabs left... not enough to warrant a box, sad to say.

the slab damage is what i hate the most. especially on a 9.8 when the bottom right corner hits against the side and causes the corner to fold down. if they would put the holders or whatever you call them in every slab this probably would not happen. this has happened to more than just a few of my cgcs.

I hate Ink overspray, and miswraps. People will argue it doesnt affect the grades, my personal opinion is they should because the book can be found without those defects.

It does affect the grade - it's not allowed in 10.0 and probably 9.9.
