Many Jay Company books are regular comic books with an extra cover wrapped around it. If the extra cover is not cut tightly enough, it creates an "overhang" over the comic inside, and that overhang can get damaged in a CGC case. Therefore, CGC will not grade or encapsulate a comic with too much of the overhang.

 

Some Jay Company variants actually have their own cover printed in place of the original cover, so there is no extra cover added or overhang, or their extra cover is cut perfectly in size with the original comic, and those are available for submission. I believe these Cavewoman variants were cut to the correct size.
