Overrated Character - but others don't agree with you

Punisher has a stupid costume and probably shouldn't interact with spandex superheroes, but the character has potential. He could have been the perfect blend of Falling Down, Death Wish, and Rambo.

The Ennis Max series and The End Limited Edition are awsome reads.

Even if your not a punisher fan, I think most people would enjoy all of these stories.

I really don't think the Punisher is over-rated like Wolverine or Deadpool.

I didn't mind his "mysterious" ways, but I hated his "accent" , his power and his costume.

 

Thus my title of this thread. I am sure am in the minority as far as hating Gambit.

 

Thank god Dazzler wasn't popular because she would be up there next to Gambit and Deadpool also.

 

For all the great stuff by Claremont/Byrne did together. Dazzler was the weakest junk that they added. Even with Dazzler, the Dark Phoenix story arc is my favorite of all time for the X-men.

+1. over the top sometimes but a writer that's really cued into what makes a character tick. imho, better than 95% of the garbage that marvel has churned out in the past decade.

Cool character, great art, and a story that i enjoy. It set the benchmark for creator owned comics, is currently the longest running indy title (second only to cerebus for all time) It has been a low key horror book for the past 7 years with little to no exposure outside of a few statues.

 

Spawn was overrated in 92-95 for sure. Underrated now if anything IMO.

I would have to go with invincible. Ive only read to about issue 30 but i couldnt stand it.
That's disappointing to hear as I was just about to pick up the first trade. :( What was it specifically you didn't like?

That's way many more issues than I would give a title I didn't like :o
