plastic arch inside the slab

2 posts in this topic

Gemma,

Just curious on how CGC determines which book gets a plastic arch on the bottom, or on the spine side or the top side, etc...I have plenty of slabs and I haven't figure out the pattern of why they were placed. I figured for extra support but if you can shine in on more, it would be helpful for some of us.

TIA

CGC will use additional plastic parts for bracing or "wedging" on any high grade comic or fragile comic that may need additional support within the encapsulation. These additional pieces are custom-fit during the encapsulation process and are determined on a case-by-case basis by both the grading and encapsulation team.
