between all the dramas, running around, cakes, dj's, guests, pidgeon conventions, wine drama, and the swingers convention, if you plan on getting married, i have one word for you....ELOPE!

No way! Then be prepared to listen to your wife whine and biotch for decades about how she never got a "real wedding".

We had what I class as a perfect wedding, beautiful day, sunny, dry (amazing for August), no wind, just absolutely perfect, great pictures, relatives had a blast (100% turn-out to see me get hitched - first time that has ever happened before or since) and both the ceremony and reception went off perfectly... but my wife *still* talks about things that could have gone better, or stuff we missed, etc.

No, I meant that since I was the one getting married, the entire extended family showed up for that momentous event - the first time ever that 100% of the family had been in one place at the same time. It's been close, but never a 100% turnout. And we've got a BIG family - 11 & 8 siblings on my father/mother's side.

I didn't know whether to feel honored or insulted. :insane:

true story.....our 1st hall we had booked for about a year, called us and asked if we would like to break our contract because the whole hotel was being booked for an "adult entertainment weekend" . so after we were bumped for the swingers, we went to a different hall. they called us last week to see if we wanted to upgrade to the grande ballroom because they didnt want the pidgeon convention in their good room so as it turns out, swinger bumped us and we in turn bumped the pidgens who went to a smaller room. my niece ventured over to check em out and was escorted out..i think shes not pidgeon material. with all that being said, it will always make a great story, can you say swingers bumped you on your wedding..that didnt come out right.....
