For sale Amazing Fantasy #15 CGC 1.8 Universal Off-White Pages

 

I bought it as a raw 2.5/3.0

I believe this one could get a bump on resubmit

The book has No marvel chipping . Only thing you cant see from front scan someone put 3 staples on the front of the book that were later removed Why they did this is unknown because the spine is solid and attached at both orginal staples.

 

I got the graders notes pregrader gave it a 3.0 both other graders gave it a 1.8..????? Notes: Writing on cover .Stain on cover lower right that breaks color Soiling upper right cover 3 Staple holes through book. Color breaks on spine and color breaks on edges. No water damage at all the stain is just on the cover and does not go through pages

Seems accurately graded to me - that's a lot of notes. :grin:

I've seen this book in person a few times and was strongly considering purchasing it. I'm guessing the added staple holes are what really hurt the technical grade of this one. It looks much much nicer than a 1.8 and Trey's scan does not do any justice at all to the colors on this book, they are much brighter than his scans would have you believe.

I have an ASM 1 in 3.0 with added staple holes, I can't imagine that effected the grade. I had a CGC 1.8 AF 15 that had multiple pieces of tape on interior pages, right edge marvel chipping etc....but did have bold colors. Different defects, different strokes for different folks. Trey, If you want to see scans of my old 1.8, shoot me a pm with your email and I'll send them to you for comparison.

 

Nice looking 1.8 IMO.
