Where in the world is John Cassaday?

I didn't see his name at any cons last year and havn't seen his name pop up this year.. where on earth has he been?! anyone know of any upcomming appearances?

In all seriousness, I saw this on the news section of his website:

 

"December 2009

UPDATE (12-14-09)

 

The John Cassaday directed episode of DOLLHOUSE "The Attic" will air on Friday, December 18th at 9pm EST on FOX."

 

...and can only think that things like this mean he's moving his focus away from comics , but I'd love to be proven wrong - his art is gorgeous and I'd love to see some more sequentials!

Last time I saw him was at heroes ages ago when I think he was drawing cap. What has that been 8-9 years ago?

His last appearance at a big show was WWTexas 2008 where he was a guest of honor. He's still been doing comic book work (mostly covers), but he seems to be making a slow transition to the world of TV and movies working behind the scenes.

 

Kris Moore swears he saw John walking around SDCC '09, but I never saw him. But then again, who am I to question thecollector?

I was walking around SDCC 09. I talked to him a lee bermejo for a few minutes. He didn't have a scheduled signing though.

Kris has a pretty good eye for those kinda things.. I wouldn't doubt him.

 

In fact that last time I had the pleasure of getting some books signed by Mr. Cassaday was with Kris's assistance... boo-yea!

Kris is right, he was at SDCC. He walked by the CGC booth and i snagged him to sign a Cap 25 Wizard Variant somebody had submitted.
