He said early in the thread that the ultra-whiteness was due to an effect caused by a scanner, and wasn't that white in actuality.

Oh yeah, that was the first slab I've ever scanned on our new office copier. It's freaky looking ain't it?

 

The back cover is a 9.2 back cover re: whiteness viz. albedo effect.

 

Buy it for heaven's sake.
