Thanks - I was at the mercy of the SS people at the show it was sent to. I did ask for it there - they didn't listen. From what I have heard he signs where he signs and there has been some messed up front cover art. I thought about it after and if he was off that day and tried to sign on top of the 60 it might have made the sig look worse.

 

And thanks as well Paul - haven't decided if I am going for an 8.0 or not.

I like the placement of his signature. There isn't much open space to work with on that cover and Stan did a pretty good job of it. Having his sig over that '60' would have been a mess IMO

Possibly... but if he could have placed it where the "an" in "Stan" was right over it... I think the marker ink would have conceled it all.

 

I wouldn't have the ballz to tell Stan "The Man" Lee how to sign anything tho

I was fortunate enough to have two X-men #1s signed for my kids inheritance- both are 6.0s and both signed in the same location as this one. Evidently, that is Stan's "sweet spot".
