MEET STAN LEE AT SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON

 

ALL SPOTS HAVE BEEN TAKEN!

And lo! There shall come…a Stan!

 

 

Stan Lee has graciously agreed to do a limited meet-and-greet with a few select fans at San Diego Comic-Con at Hero Initiative’s spiffy-swell hotel suite!

 

 

The event will take place at San Diego Comic-Con on THURSDAY, JULY 22 at 6:30 PM! There are only FIVE of these berths available! Each of five lucky people will be escorted to the suite by duly authorized Hero Initiative personnel, where they’ll meet Stan the Man! Drinks and snacks will be served, and you’ll also be able to get TWO Stan Lee autographs at this event on YOUR items of YOUR choice! Bring a camera and get photos of you with the MAN!

 

 

Please note that admittance is for ONE person ONLY!

 

 

Here’s the five Ws.

 

WHO: Stan Lee, co-creator of the Marvel Universe, and such beloved characters as Spider-Man, the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and even Fin Fang Foom!

 

 

WHAT: A meet-and-greet appearance with Stan. Only five people will be allowed into the suite, and you can get two autographs as well, AND the chance to interview Stan! Bring a camera and have a pic taken with you and Stan.

 

 

WHY: Because Stan is a jolly good fella, and he believes in and supports The Hero Initiative!

 

 

WHERE: The appearance will take place in conjunction with Comic-Con International in San Diego. You must be present at the convention and report to the Hero Initiative booth (#5003) if you’re a winner.

 

 

WHEN: THURSDAY, JULY 22 at 6:30 PM

 

 

IF YOU WIN…

 

• Please come to the Hero Initiative booth (#5003) at Comic-Con International in San Diego promptly at 6:00 PM. Bring your photo ID to claim your berth. You will be escorted to the suite by Hero Initiative!

 

 

FAQ:

 

Q: What will Stan sign? Do you provide anything?

 

A: He’ll sign whatever you bring, but they must be YOUR items. We do not provide items for Stan to sign.

 

 

Q: Can Stan sign three items? Bless my baby? Do the Funky Chicken with me? Go out for a round of cocktails? Beat up my big brother for me?

 

A: No, no, no, no, and no. Alas and alackaday, Stan’s time is very limited. Good as described above only.

 

 

Q: Whoo-wee! How much ya think I can scalp my ticket for?

 

A: Big donut. Winner’s names will be recorded, and they must be redeemed by the winner. Berths are non-transferable, and any tickets transferred are immediately null and void, and will not be honored. Fairly warned be thee.

 

 

Q: Is this tax deductible?

 

A: Yes, to the extent allowed by law. The Hero Initiative is a non-profit organization recognized by the federal government under section 501 © (3) of the Internal Revenue code.

 

 

Q: Okay, what’s that mean?

 

A: We cannot legally give tax advice. According to IRS regulations, we cannot determine the value of this donation. That is between you and your accountant. According to the IRS, the amount of deduction is based on the price that a "willing buyer" will pay for your item. We will happily issue a donation receipt, and will specify when your donation was made and what was paid.

 

 

This auction is a benefit for The Hero Initiative, the first-ever federally chartered not-for-profit corporation dedicated to helping comic book creators in need. Hero creates a financial safety net for yesterdays' creators who may need emergency medical aid, financial support for essentials of life, and entrée back into paying work.

I'm going to have my two kids with me (11 and 5) and I don't have anyone to watch them during this meet and greet. Would it be possible for me to bring them with me to this (I can tie them to a chair so they won't get in anyone's way.. :kidaround: )

Please let me know. Also, how many spots are left?

Here are some PICS - STAN showed about 30 min late:

 

Missing in the group shot is my wife, she had to go pick up our daughter at the child care by 7:30!!! Everyone was nice to allow her to meet Stan 1st and have her stuff signed since he was running late and we were on a strict time table.
