Somehow I never noticed this before---the cover is an advertisement for an amusement park that was in Fort Lee (I think), NJ.

 

Palisades Amusement park was also one of DC's biggest advertisers for years, and there are couple of websites out there where people from all over the US and Britain talk about how the ads made them believe it must have been the coolest place on earth.

 

That said, I wish I had seen Tupenny's listing in time to grab this sweet, grossly under-priced copy. Nice pick-up.

 

I went to Pallisades Amusement Park as a kid, and it was indeed the coolest place on earth to me...but then again, I thought eating paste and matches was cool too so what did I know

It is a great copy. I wish I wasn't tapped out this month as DC romanaces are not offered here often.
