Surprised it did not hit at least 10K when it re-sold.

 

That book looked like it had survived the apocalypse...just barely.

 

I remember buying that copy from Fishler around 92/93 for $1000.

It was literally the only comic I've ever owned that I was afraid to take out of the bag.

Very happy day when I sold it.

 

That book could need a little restoe - I have never seen anything like it :(

 

 

Were talking 100% authentic GA beater atmosphere here. Now that supes 1 is a beater. Dont beat around the bush: show us your GA beaters !!

I don't know about restoring that Superman 1. Looks like a pretty expensive undertaking if someone would tackle it. The scary part are the two rips on the left. Doesn't just look like a cover rip. It looks like the whole book was almost torn in half by the original owner in anger lol
