This file is a message he left on his ex-girlfriend's answering machine. He had a tape of this in his possession that they found after he died.

 

Whoa, how'd you know that? I'm not sure now whether I'm remembering incorrectly, or whether his brother's web site mischaracterized what the message was.

He's got a new section up that is a "statement from Robert Stevens" behind the "Press Release" link talking about his belief in his brother's guilt even following the Ridgway confession. He thinks Ridgway made it all up! confused.gif On the old version of the site, Robert explicitly said he was the guy providing the content to the web site...I couldn't find such a statement on there now. I wonder why he doesn't mention that? It seems odd for him to post a "press release" from himself as if a third party were presenting it.
