STRANGE TALES 168 VG/FN $5.00 Last issue before Doc gets his own mag and it's a doozy. Yandroth's shot sends Strange plunging into the abyss, but the Ancient One uses the "Trans-Hypnotic Jewel" to arrest his fall. Yandroth tells the terrified Victoria to run from the Behemoth, figuring it's better she die than him, but manages to down the creature anyway. Strange uses his Cloak of Levitation to grab Yandroth, but sees the Viking women about to kill Victoria. To save her, he releases his grip on Yandroth, sending him plummeting "endlessly" through the Dimension of Dreams, where he will eventually become nothing more than a dream himself. Banishing the phantoms, Strange whisks Victoria back to Earth at last, where the memory of her ordeal will soon fade. The Ancient One welcomes his disciple home and bids him to "take the rest you have well earned".

Stan Lee and Jaunty Jimmy Steranko provide the words and pictures in the Nick Fury saga. Not to underplay the action, suspense and intrigue that bubbled over in this story... but the a full page snapshot of Val (Contessa Valentina Allegro de Fontaine), with the over the shoulder glance back "atcha" look and your 12 year-old heart flamed on. Yes, you too, wanted to be an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., no matter the risks from all those would be world dominators. Buy this mag and you'll never regret it. Last issue in series.

ACTION 381 VG/FN $2.00 Superman plants his pole on the cover and kicks butt on the inside. An amazingly dull Legion back-up story that could easily fit in a Millie or Patsty and Hedy comic. Although the fashions on Princess Projectra and Shrinking Violet are to die for. Some curl at the spine.
