I'm assuming the scan is enhancing the browning but it's still there.

Can't tell if the crease on the BC upper left is breaking color.

Both corners on the spine look soft.

I'd say at best 9.2 . If the browning is bad with bad PQ maybe 8.5 .

I think there is more going on than we can tell on that spine. If you open the book

and count the stress lines from the inside how many do you see?

I am thinking 8.0!
