Ronin was a disaster for everyone. It shipped so late that the later issues ended up being returnable, IIRC.

Sales of the first two issues were okay, but sales died at the end. Few readers cared for it, and it made no sense to the average reader.

 

well, now those average readers are about 39 rather than the 12 they were back then so they could probably figure it out.
