Archie 1 8.5 blue in upcoming Heritage Auction!

You guys are nuts.... that is a beautiful book.

 

Look at the outer corners and edges, and those colors glow. 8.5s can have spine stress, a little staining and some corner wear, even in Silver Age.

 

Overall appearance of that book is solidly VF plus.

 

Yeah, gorgeous book. And hell, even if it's an 8.0, quibbling over .5 when we're presented with a beautiful, high grade unrestored Archie #1 is missing the point entirely.

 

Seriously, I know people love to pick at CGC here (and it's a good thing that people do,) but seriously... It's an Archie #1 CGC 8.5 up for auction. Can we at least temper the grade discussion with a little bit of (worship):o(worship)

I see the problem now--he didn't know it was me. I'm sure that would have made all the difference :)

Imagine what a nice, highest graded Pep #22 would do now...

That Church package purchase of the Archie #1 and Pep #22 seems like a steal now.
