Please note that from now on we are voting books off the list.

 

Would be interesting to revisit this poll every two years or thereabouts to see which titles increased or decreased based on increased movie hype/speculation and vice-versa.

 

For example, two years from now, would Avengers 1 and 4 rank as high? How 'bout JIM 83 or Showcase 22? And what if the hype for the next Spidey movie was well under way - would AF 15 and ASM #1 etc rate even higher?

When I look at the voting so far, there are lots of bizarre choices or people desperately trying to game their choices for some reason.

 

How does a one set of votes per person = "desperately trying to game their choices"...? Each person can only vote once for their particular fav. Is there a special feature to tell when a vote is REALLY earnest...?

You vote for SOME obvious books but don`t vote for other obvious books.

 

In practice it doesn't really matter though if 95% or 100% vote for AF #15 etc as they will clearly get into the top 30.

The other method of gaming is that you know AF 15, FF 1, etc. are going to make it into the Top 30, so you don`t vote for any of those big books and allocate all your votes to marginal books.

 

Orrrrrr....people just vote for what they think is important.

 

Please, clue me in to the secret behind guessing motives in a secret ballot...I bet I could sell it for a fortune!

As far as "sinister", you're the one suggesting people are trying to "game their choices"...which is a logical impossibility in an anonymous poll with one vote per person/user id.
