Are you officially facilitating the show?

I talked with Gemma on Friday and, at that time, she said there wasn't officially a facilitator set up for Heroes Con. I was pretty surprised by that considering the guest list. :o

 

That's because a facilitator will typically work in conjunction with a CAW. While a dedicated CAW is helpful to have around, it becomes far less necessary when CGC is set up at the show.

 

For example, I know that Rich Henn and I both offered our help independently and took books to get signed at the Virginia Comic Con last year. CGC was at the show, so neither of us were "officially facilitating". At a show like this, it isn't really necessary.

 

I went to Heroes and MegaCon last year and never had a problem grabbing a CGC employee from the booth to get a book witnessed. An "official facilitator" wasn't necessary, although it would always be helpful. However, facilitators/CAWs do become far more helpful at shows like SDCC and NYCC where the folks at the CGC booth are constantly busy with customers and don't have much time to witness.

 

Thanks for the heads up. Going to be my 1st time doing this, so this helps. Going to breakpop the cherry!
