What about ASM 135??? It's awesome. I think this gets the nod over 50 & 136.

 

Blasphemy, utter blasphemy, even though I am willing to concede that #135 is a slepper hit and has not been posted here - can someone throw one up mines back home in Canuckville.

There are tons and I mean tons of awesome covers out there for Amz Spidey,

but the one that is relatively current is one that sticks out in my mind as a well designed cover.

 

My favorite is the ASM Vol.2 36 - cover for the September 11th issue!!

 

Yep, it is just a black cover.

 

But that is what is so great about it,

This is one of the many examples of where "less is more".

 

What better symbol of a day that was black and cold as night to americans

than this Jet Black simplistic cover.

 

100 to 200 years down the road when we are all ashes and dust this comic will be remembered

as a rare focus on an actual historical event that cut like a blade.

 

One that I will always remember as a very black day indeed.

 

I love my country and on that day I'm not ashamed to say...
