Still need a place to stay for the San Diego Comic Con? Prices updated!

11 posts in this topic

Hello,

Anyone still need a place to stay for for the 2011 San Diego Comic Con? The original person who was going to stay with me could not make the show and now I need to find a person/small group to fill that spot. Need a few days or the whole week? We would be staying on the Villa San Juan which holds up to 6 comfortably. 2 rooms and a pull out bed in the main living room. $115 a night for 1 person or $175 a night for a group up to 4 people.

Villa San Juan

45' Floating Home, sleeps 6 (2 adults)

The Villa San Juan is perfect for entertaining or just quiet relaxation. 600 sq ft, this two bedroom, two bath has a queen bed and a queen sleeper in the salon. The beautiful galley with stove top, refrigerator, coffee maker and toaster, washer/dryer, televisions, stereo and DVD player make her ready to accommodate up to six people in pure comfort. Waterside patio and top deck provide the perfect escape to sunbath and rejuvenate.

Check-in date: Jul 19 2011 Check-in Time: 3:00PM

Is the float home behind a SDCC hotel along a shuttle bus route at all? Curious. :wishluck:

It's in the Marina across from the Airport. I believe there is shuttle service from there. I think the Hilton San Diego Airport Harbor Island is next to the port where the house boat is.

I think there will be shuttle service from the Marina area.

I'll do some checking up on it.

Below is the map of the Comic Con Hotels with most having shuttle service.

Also even if you don't "know" the other possible folks staying with us, I will charge the group rate. Feel free to post here if you are interested and if another member posts here you both can get the group rate together.

This was most likely too short notice for most people. It's a beautiful houseboat and a few of the guests stopping by will be Ted VanLiew of Superworld Comics and board member Johnny G :baiting: I'll see if I can work on Stan Lee dropping by :insane:

How about $100 a night for a single and $150 for a small group (2-4 people a night). If I can get at least 2 people to come in as singles i would charge them the group rate, and if 3 or 4 come in as singles, they would also get the group rate. Feel free to PM me with offers or ideas. Thanks again! (thumbs u

I think you're probably right--most people already had their accommodations reserved. Hope you work something out with somebody. It sounds like a cool place!

If it happens great. If not I'll most likely stay home. It is a very nice place though...

Might be a change in plan. I think I have some folks coming in on Friday and Saturday nights. I have some open spots now on Wednesday and Thursday nights. For those nights a Special of $50 per person a night for anyone interested.
