wow thats surprising that out of 40 or so books only one was Watchmen....does this reflect how collectors view which of Moores books carry more value or importance?

 

I am going to say "No," Arjuna. I, and I assume others, was strongly admonished against including Watchmen books. If I recall correctly, the theory was that AM may have some negative energy about that project, and it was thought that it may impede getting other books signed if he didn't want to sign Watchmen books. As it is, I am thrilled with the books that got done, I think the admonition was prudent, but I still think of Watchman as far more important and valuable as a piece of art than KJ, LOEG or even Miracleman.

thats actually a good point, especially if he's very anti commercialism he might be under the impression that if a lot of Watchmen books get done that it would be for resale. I guess books like Swampthing and Miracleman he might be prouder to sign because maybe he doesn't get asked so much about it or it hasn't been "bastardized" by hollywood
