probably...but it's been already 4 years i've been hearing that. wink.gif

But that's just the "CGC/EBay Effect" at work. I shudder when I think of how horrific the 1990's Crash would have been, had EBay and CGC been active. I can't even imagine what CGC 9.8 copies of "incredibly rare, low print run" Valiants would have sold for circa 91-94. 893whatthe.gif

Seriously, the peak is fun to climb, but the valley is gonna be horrendous on these thousand-dollar Modern slabs. tonofbricks.gif

Have to agree with JC. Slabbing Modern comics (in general) is such a business now and the sheer volume of copies that are out there must be staggering. Nowadays every LCS owner must be stock piling long boxes of issues to flog to the crazed masses or hang on to for years to come. As time goes on and people realize that there is no scarcity associated with many modern issues they will move on to greener pastures so will the money associated with these. Do people really think they can get $4,000+ for this comic in 5-10 years? If so good for them but I doubt it. I don't mind spending a couple hundred bucks on the odd gem mint modern issue with a great cover just to add to the collection but $2,000?

Give me $2,000 worth of HG Byrne X-Men and I'd I think you have a much better investment on your hands. confused-smiley-013.gif
