Brand New Day vs The Watcher

I for one can not stand what happened in the Brand New Day story line for Spider-man creating 2 realities (the newspaper and the comic book)

 

I still don't understand how Mephesto managed to alter reality and bring back the dead.

 

 

Here is the big question starting to read "Point One" which the central hero is the Watcher, does the Watcher know the old world and the alternate world that was created and why hasn't he "interferred yet ( I know he is pledged jsut to watch but he butts in some times)

 

 

Just wondering
