i remember when Liefeld was the hottest thing in comics....maybe i dreamed that.

 

 

I wouldn't say he was the hottest thing, but there was a short period of time you could have said he was the 3rd most popular.

 

It was during his run on "New Mutants" and the switch to "X-Force." It was about 2 years. But Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane were always the top guys during that time.

 

Before "New Mutants" I don't think people knew who he was, and when he went to Image and couldn't pull off making Youngblood on his own his popularity quickly faded.

i'm pleased with the 52 so far....now if they could just make a few hundred #1s from the past few years vanish from existance in the process.

with the new logo change, I am assuming there will be a "Death of ______" next month?
