I like pie
Does one spine tick really matter/bother that much? For a new book right off the shelf, absolutely.
HugeRosen
Does one spine tick really matter/bother that much? Totally ruins the story for me if I see a spine tick on the cover. But if you are looking for 9.8's, then yes.

awakeintheashes
I grabbed two of the best. One without any spine ticks and one with a very small tick. Also, found the Helheim #1 NYCC Sketch on display for cover...Not sure why they even had it, but that's for another thread.
ItsJustRyan
In general, the paper used for the saga books (it seems) is easier to "tick" than some other image books. Your thoughts... ? Seems to be a lighter stock (or am I being crazy again).

CBT
In general, the paper used for the saga books (it seems) is easier to "tick" than some other image books. Your thoughts... ? Seems to be a lighter stock (or am I being crazy again). I love the covers, especially the white number 1s, it presses REALLY well. The 9.8 I sold of number 1 had a printing INDENT (not even sure how it would be made, but definitely printing defect, not after) the size of my thumb on the front cover. I had it pressed before slabbing, and it came back 9.8. I wish all comics were printed on the thicker stuff, I think long term they will last longer raw too.
