PGM Amazing Spider-Man #5

Here it is cracked... I thought the spot on the cover was a tape pull but it turns out it's some kind of dried food (gum?). It's actually coming off. There was a smaller spot above it and it came right off. Looked through the book and nothings missing and the C and CF are firmly attached. No cutouts either.

i had a slabbed PGX book .. 5.5.. came back a 4.0 from CGC.

 

My thought is yours is 4.0.

Looking at it in hand I'm not sure what the spots are from. It has that lovely aroma of musty to it so I'd say it's been exposed to water.

Before you cracked it out, I thought there was a large crease going through Spidey's legs. I guess that was a scratch in the plastic.

 

I think with the water staining on the BC it's around a 4.0.

Looks like a 4.5 or 5.0 to me. However, CGC is a bit harsh these days on their grading. However, in most cases, I think they do a pretty good job.
