I also thought it was weird when he shot an arrow through Roy's leg.

There are villainous thugs that he hasn't wounded that badly.

Maybe he's in contract negotiations.

A episode before, Thea dumped him. They're trying to show him he can be dropped in a second.

When Barry was talking about the whirlwind and came in his house and killed his mother ... ??

Reverse Flash ??

That was our guess (my sons and me) (thumbs u

Hope it wasn't an evil Superboy, AKA "The Blur" :insane:

I hope it was

I also noted the "blur" reference haha. Was curious if we'd get a Welling cameo - now THAT would be fun. But they had their own Barry Allen, so it can't cross over

That was Bart Allen.

Didn't he have fake ID's with pretty much all the flash names including Wally West?

Didn't the "blur" in Arrow kill Barry's dad?

That would suggest someone villainous.

I misstated this, (:

It was his mom that was killed - his dad was accused of the crime, which we are told by Barry Allen was done by a blur. oops

That reminds me, has anyone seen those ridiculous ads for Arrow in comics lately?

All it says is "Arrow" and then has a picture of Roy with his shirt off.

That's the whole ad!

That's why women have named the show "six-pack." :)

Could've been Mirror Master. A blur doesn't necessarily mean super speed.

You might be right - it's that long since I saw the episode.

You don't win ratings playing only to the comics fan boy population :/

I have been reading this thread for some time, and I have decided to give Arrow a try and watched the episode the other night.

I felt it had way to much "soap opera". Was this considered a "good" episode by those of you that like the show? Was it just bad luck for me to finally decide to watch and get a stinker?

I didn't like it.

I like the show, obviously but I commented to my sons that it was a bit too syrupy for me - so yes it was the sappyer of the shows so far in my opinion. The big draw was the intro of BA and all the tasty Easter eggs all about - but lower on the scale of shows thus far the past 2 seasons.

The wife loved it thought.

It's existential.

Great episode tonight. All the build-up they have been working towards since the season started paid off. I enjoyed Grant Gustin as Barry the first episode, but I felt he grew into the role even better tonight.

The show comes back from the mid-season break sooner than The Walking Dead, but January 15th is still way too long to wait for my liking.
