Signature Series Trade Weekend Trading Thread

I'd like to welcome everyone to another Signature Series Trade Weekend. Here are a few guidelines to follow that should help make things run smoothly.

 

Here's a link (that is borrowed from the VCC) on how to set up your post with thumbnails: Link

 

1) Books only are to be posted in the trade thread itself. All discussion should be via PM or in the Trade Weekend discussion thread.

 

2) Give an idea of what you're looking for (i.e. GA SA BA copper, modern) so people can get an idea of what kind of stuff to offer.

 

3) All books should be posted for trade only, not cash sales.

 

4) Mark books traded as such or remove them from your post.

 

5) One post per person, edit as needed.

 

The next two are completely optional but may be helpful.

 

6) Once you've seen what everyone has to offer post a list of what book(s) you're interested in and who has it. I know I'll be doing this myself.

 

7) Add an estimated price range to your books.

Here is an amazing SPFX # 6 signed by the FIVE original Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory kids! Only 3 of these magazines were done and the other two are in the hands of serious SS collectors. Thus, this will likely be the last time one of these books is offered. I place the value at $350-$400, could be worth more.

Next is a CGC SS cast signed Walking Dead Weekly issue one (Amazing AZ Con variant). Walking Dead is by far the hottest book in the hobby right now. This book is nice because it is affordable and is off to a nice start as far as sigs go. It is signed by Kirkman, Laurie Holden, Jon Bernthal (who likely will not be attending many shows due to a busy acting schedule), Steven Yeun, and Norman Reedus. There is plenty more room to add more sigs on this book! I estimate it's value at $175 to $200.

Next up is a New Mutants 98 signed by Rob Leifeld. I estimate the value at $250 to $300.

Here is a great book for Bronze-Age fans! Marvels Project blank with a fantastic full-body Wolverine by co-creator Herb Trimpe!!! Estimated value $350 to $400

 

 

Here is a Daredevil vol. 2 issue 100 signed by the late great Gene Colan. Estimated value is $75.

Here is a FANG-tastic cast signed book! Rue Morgue 103 signed by the cast/crew from the 1978 Piranha! It is signed by Joe Dante (director), Roger Corman (producer), Barbara Steele, and infamous piranha victim Belinda Belaski! You will probably never see another cast signed SS book from this cult-classic film again! Estimated value is $250 +.

Here is are two issues of SPAWN 200 variant sketch covers. The first is the 1:100 ratio David Finch cover signed by McFarlane and Finch! Estimated value is $300-$350. Next is the 1:25 Jim Lee sketch variant. It is signed by Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane! I estimate the value at $200.

Here is a very rare book with a very RARE signature! 2000 maniacs movie adaptation signed the great H. G. Lewis! Estimated value is $150.

Next up is a Dell Movie Classics THE RAVEN signed by the film's producer/director Roger Corman! I estimate this relatively high grade copy at $200.

Here is a great sketch by William Stout. It is a sort of cover recreation (from Famous Monsters issue 251 variant) on a Marvels Project blank. Estimated value at $150.

Here is a Zero Hour # 1 blank with a great George Perez BATMAN sketch! The grade isn't the best (Zero Hour blanks are hard to find in high grade), still a really nice add to any collection! Estimated value of $100.

Here is a very rare signature + a sketch!!! It's an Ed Benes sketch book with a really nice BATMAN head sketch on the front cover by Benes! I estimate the value of the book at $125 to $150.

Here's an awesome sketch by underground comix LEGEND Larry Welz! It's XXX-Men Cherry and a very curious Wolverine! The photo is censored, if you wish to see a photo of the book uncensored send me a PM. Estimated value is $250 to $300.

Here is an AMAZING cast signed book! Creepshow graphic novel (1982, fifth print) signed by Romero, Savini, Atkins, Barbeau, Ross, Rick Catizone (illustrated the key animated sequences), David Early, John Amplas, and Hal Holbrook!!! You'll never see another book like this one again! To estimate a value is very difficult and it really comes down to what two serious collectors would be willing to bid at auction. A great deal has been invested in the book and you will never get Hal Holbrook at an SS approved signing again. Considering the number of signatures and the rarity of the book and signatures (Romero, Catizone, Ross rarely attend cons anymore and Holbrook has never attended a con), this book will be a truly unique add to any collection!

Next is an awesome Halloween issue 1 photo cover variant signed by John Carpenter and Nick Castle (the original Michael Myers)! Castle is a VERY RARE signature and I have only seen him at one con in 10 years! Estimated value $300 +.

Here is a Vampirella issue 2 signed by Vamp's co-creators Jim Warren and late great Forrest J Ackerman (who actually have a cameo in this paticualar issue)!!! FJA passed away in 2008 and Warren does not attend conventions any more. VERY few SS books exsist with either of these signatures. This is one of only 3 Vampirella books signed by this LEGENDARY duo, I own the other two and will never sell/trade them! If you are a hardcore Vamp fan, this book is a treasure! I value the book at $500 +++.
