Weird Tales Vol 24 No 4, October 1934

F $450 SOLD

Conan story by Robert E. Howard! Brundage cover!

One of Brundage's best covers, IMHO. There are 26 issues of Weird Tales that contain a Conan story, and this one features Part 2 of "The People of the Black Circle".

An exquisite copy of one of Brundage's best Weird Tales covers. The story illustrated by her cover is The Black God's Kiss by C.L. Moore.

Spine is completely intact and deep red with no fading. Both front and back covers are completely clean. The back is bright white. Small thumb crease on right edge. Small piece of upper right corner has bent but is attached.

Weird Tales Vol 25 No 1, January 1935

G+ $90 SOLD

Brundage cover! 1st pro work by Robert Bloch!

Very cool black panther cover by Margaret Brundage. This issue contains the first professional work ("The Feast In the Abbey") by noted horror and crime author Robert Bloch. Bloch wrote hundreds of short-stories and over 20 novels, and is probably best remembered for writing the story that became the Alfred Hitchcock film Psycho.

Book is complete but worn. Spine is faded and is mostly complete, missing only a 1cm piece out of the word 'January', and has several pieces of tape. Two of the pieces of tape are old and have caused staining. Front cover has some scratches and abrasions, and the edges are somewhat worn. Two small pieces missing from upper right corner area.

Weird Tales Vol 25 No 2, February 1935

VG+ $150 SOLD

Brundage cover! Robert E. Howard story (non-Conan)!

Features a striking Margaret Brundage cover with three nearly-nude women! Robert E. Howard contributes a novelette entitled "The Grisly Horror".

This copy is solid and complete. Covers are clean and bright. Spine is complete and unfaded. An accumulation of light wear (bottom of the spine, top and left cover edges, and a reading crease near the spine) keep this in the VG+ range. Nice copy.

Weird Tales Vol 26 No 2, August 1935

G/VG $85 SOLD

Brundage cover! Dr. Satan by Paul Ernst!

Cool, creepy Dr. Satan cover by Margaret Brundage. This issue is the first appearance of Dr. Satan, a villainous character written by Paul Ernst (later known from writing the pulp The Avenger).

Nice looking complete copy, but the spine and parts of the edges have been reinforced with tape. Spine is partially faded. Some scratches on the cover. Light edge wear.

Weird Tales Vol 26 No 5, November 1935

VG+ $375 SOLD

Nude Brundage Conan story cover! Conan story by Robert E. Howard!

Featured in this issue is the Conan story "Shadows in Zamboula" (later known as "The Man-Eaters of Zamboula") by Robert E. Howard. This is one of only 9 Weird Tales covers featuring a Conan story on the cover. Margaret Brundage provided the stunning nude cover. This issue also contains a Dr. Satan story by Paul Ernst.

This book is complete and solidly held together and generally in nice condition. Colors are bright. The spine is complete but has faded to yellow. There is an abrasion where the spine joins the front cover. Slight reading crease near top and bottom of spine. Small creased corner in lower right, and light wear on top edge.

Wonderful selection of pulps, Todd. :golfclap:

Thanks Steve. It's definitely one of the stranger covers I've seen.

Weird Tales Vol 27 No 4, April 1936

VG+ $175 SOLD

Sexy Brundage cover! Conan story by Robert E. Howard!

Beautiful Brundage cover on this one. Features the Conan story "The Hour of the Dragon" (Part 5) by Robert E. Howard. One of only 26 issues of Weird Tales to feature a Conan story.

Bright color covers with a clean, bright image. No creasing. Spine is compete but moderately faded. One piece of tape on top of spine and two on the bottom. Looks like they are there for reinforcement purposes only. Could probably be removed. Small dark stain on top edge of front cover. Small piece out top of back cover.

Weird Tales Vol 27 No 6, June 1936

VG/F $150

Awesome Brundage vampire cover! Robert E. Howard story!

Great cover illustration by Margaret Brundage for the story "Loot of the Vampire". Inside there's a Robert E. Howard novelette called "Black Canaan", as well as stories by Jack Williamson and Robert Bloch.

Good, solid, copy with bright, clean cover image. One piece of tape on lower spine. It looks like it was put there as a preventative measure and could be removed. Spine is complete, but has faded pretty severely. Small crease in upper right corner. Light wear on top edge.
